My work is personal. I know what it means to lose yourself and fight your way back.
I grew up learning that emotion was weakness and silence was strength. So I did what many men do: worked harder, stayed tough, kept moving.
From the outside, it looked fine. Underneath, it cost me relationships, peace, and myself.
The breaking point became the turning point.
That journey taught me something most men never hear:
Real strength is honesty.
Healing is not weakness.
And peace is built, not found.
That’s why I do this work.
I help men stop performing and start becoming real again.

I'M JOHN G. ALBERTI, MA, LPC-A
Charleston Therapist for Men | Relationships | Identity | Burnout | Confidence
I help men rebuild confidence, identity, and relationships after years of carrying it alone.
Modern life teaches men to perform, provide, suppress, and keep moving—often at the cost of themselves.
Many of the men I work with look successful on the outside but feel stressed, disconnected, reactive, burnt out, or unsure who they’ve become underneath it all.
My work helps men slow down, understand what’s really driving the pressure, and rebuild from the inside out—so they can lead better, love better, and actually feel like themselves again.
This isn’t surface-level therapy. It’s honest work rooted in emotional strength, self-respect, and real change.
